- Ford Australia has revealed more details of its Ford Pro Convertor program.
- The program connects customers to conversion and fit-out specialists officially approved by Ford.
- Ford NZ has confirmed that it is currently looking into rolling the program out here.
With the impeding launch of the heavy duty Ranger Super Duty ute, Ford Australia has revealed more details of the launch of its complimentary Ford Pro Convertor (FPC) program, a "strategic initiative" designed to provide conversions and customisations to the Ranger that it announced during the Super Duty's reveal (and Ford Australia's 100th birthday celebrations!).
While the details are only for the Australian program, a spokesperson for Ford New Zealand has confirmed that the local operation is currently looking at a similar program here, saying it currently has two Qualified Vehicle Modifiers for Ranger in New Zealand, and that the company was "looking to expand that to the Ford Pro Converter program"

The FPC program is basically a simplified way for Ford's customers to benefit from conversions by expert convertors who have undergone assessment by Ford, along with a convertor’s warranty duration that "aligns with the Ford new vehicle warranty duration".
Ford Australia says it identified several "core industries" within which its vehicles require specialised modifications to operate - including utilities, construction, emergency services, mining and more - and the FPC program can connect those customers with a network of Ford-certified convertors across the country.

To become an approved convertor, the modifiers must undergo a "comprehensive assessment by the Ford team to ensure their capabilities and installation methods align with Ford Pro Convertor standards". Based on the audit these convertors get certified in specific segments and modifications.
“Every business is different, and they all require their vehicles to be tailored to their unique needs, with the quality, professionalism, and peace of mind that allows them to get on with the job,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand.
