Ford New Zealand reveals Ranger pricing for 2026

• Ford NZ has revealed local pricing for its 2026 Ranger line up, dropping some models and adding a new one.
• Ford has dropped the 2.0-litre biturbo diesel, replacing it with a lower-powered 2.0-litre diesel at a lower price.
• The Ranger line up now starts at $54,990 for four-cylinder models and $61,490 for V6 models.

Ford New Zealand has revealed pricing for the 2026 Ranger line up, with the wider availability of the popular 184kW/405Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine that has been extended to additional variants that previously relied on four-cylinder powerplants.

A 125kW/405Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine previously seen here in the Transit Custom van now replaces the 154kW/500Nm 2.0-litre biturbo currently used in Rangers and Everests. This engine has received technical updates including a new timing chain and a revised fuel injection system for use in the Ranger and Everest, while the 10-speed automatic transmission is now standard across the entire Ranger and Everest range.

While Everest prices have yet to be revealed, Ranger pricing has been adjusted across the board, with four cylinder prices dropping around $1500 on average, and new V6 models being added at around $5000 above the previous model pricing. Aside for the range-topping Raptor, all Rangers still retain a full 3500kg maximum braked towing capacity.

While the majority of models currently using the 154kW biturbo engine now have both 125kW turbo and V6 options, the XLT Super Cab pick up is an exception, with a single V6 model replacing the current biturbo model, while the Raptor diesel and double cab Sport models have been dropped from the range.

The design of the 2026 Ranger has been revised to replace chrome and contrasting grey accents with gloss and matte black finishes on the XLT, Wildtrak, and Platinum models. Technological features have also been standardised, with the 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and dual-zone climate control now included as standard equipment on the entry-level XL and XLT variants.

For cab-chassis models, the Driver Assist Technology (DAT) bar developed for the Ranger Super Duty is now standard, integrating a digital reverse camera, parking sensors, and a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The 2026 Ranger lineup sees the introduction of a new limited-edition Ranger Wolftrak, which features the 3.0L V6 engine, an advanced full-time 4WD system, and specific off-road-oriented styling, while the Ranger Tremor makes a return to the lineup as well, now upgraded with the 3.0L V6 engine.

The Tremor also includes Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, a 30mm increase in track width, and 26mm of additional ground clearance, along with additional off-road drive modes, Trail Turn Assist, which reduces the vehicle's turning radius on loose surfaces, and Trail Control for low-speed speed maintenance.

In the Everest SUV range, the Everest Active replaces the Trend as the entry model, and is equipped with the 2.0-litre powertrain, leather-accented seating, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The Everest Sport has been updated to offer a choice between the 2.0-litre and V6 engines, and it now includes a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard.

Everest pricing has yet to be announced, while Ranger Hybrid and Super Duty pricing remains unchanged. More detailed specifications for the full lineup are expected to be released closer to launch, with initial customer deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-2026
