Exclusive MCPura Cielo unveiled in Switzerland

Exclusive MCPura Cielo unveiled in Switzerland

  • Maserati unveiled the one-of-one MCPura Cielo Frozen Magma on Lake St. Moritz.
  • It uses an Ai Aqua Rainbow gloss finish with orange accents and 20-inch Cyclonic wheels
  • Power comes from Maserati’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 producing 470kW.

Maserati has unveiled a striking one-off version of its MCPura Cielo supercar on the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz, proving that even sub-zero glamour can still bring serious visual drama.

Revealed during the high-profile winter gathering known as The I.C.E. 2026, the bespoke MCPura Cielo Frozen Magma was created through Maserati’s Fuoriserie customisation programme. It’s very much a “look, don’t replicate” affair, as this is a confirmed one-of-one.

The Frozen Magma name is more than marketing flourish. Finished in an exclusive Ai Aqua Rainbow gloss paint, the body shifts colour depending on the light, echoing the glassy blues of the frozen lake beneath it. Against that cool base, vivid orange accents bring the heat, highlighting the dreamline livery, Trident badges, Maserati script and Cielo branding.

Gloss-black lower trim and 20-inch Cyclonic Fuoriserie wheels deepen the contrast, while orange brake calipers and wheel hub details finish the exterior with a sharp visual punch.

Inside, the theme continues. Black Alcantara dominates, laser-etched with chevron graphics and offset by orange backing, stitching and embroidered Tridents on the headrests. Carbon-fibre trim reinforces the car’s performance intent, while a dedicated interior plaque confirms its status: “Maserati Fuoriserie – THE I.C.E. 2026 – ONE OF ONE”.

Maserati has also loaded the car with high-end options, including carboceramic brakes, a suspension lift system and a full driver assistance package. A Sonus Faber premium audio system rounds out the spec, just in case the frozen lake gets a little quiet.

Nettuno muscle still does the talking

Beneath the drama sits Maserati’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine, delivering 470kW and featuring the brand’s patented pre-chamber combustion technology. Performance figures haven’t been updated specifically for this car, but the mechanical package mirrors the standard MCPura Cielo.

Maserati COO Santo Ficili said: “With MCPura Cielo - Frozen Magma, we are shaping an emotion even before creating an extraordinary car. This Fuoriserie project was conceived to dialogue with a unique setting like St. Moritz, interpreting our vision of contemporary luxury through shapes, colours, and materials, rooted in craftsmanship, performance, and Heritage, and capable of transforming an iconic model into a one-of-a-kind work of art.

"MCPura Cielo - Frozen Magma is part of the Bottegafuoriserie program, through which we aim to elevate the creation of timeless bespoke vehicles drawing from our history and our vision, making each of our cars a true symbol of Italian excellence and pure performance”.

Alongside the Frozen Magma debut, Maserati showcased several current and historic models on the ice as part of its centenary celebrations, because if you’re going to mark 100 years, you might as well do it sideways on a frozen lake.
