New Zealand is set to get a new local motoring television show with the launch of Tarmac Life on Sky TV.
The new show will be the country’s only locally-produced program of its kind currently screening, and its creators promise "a fun and creative spin on everything automotive and lifestyle" that will feature reviews, news, tech, and travel, "all delivered with a signature helping of Kiwi banter and flair."
Tarmac Life will be hosted by DRIVEN Car Guide contributor Dave McLeod, along with Matthew D’souza and Harry de Souza, and will be a 30-minute weekly show on Sky Channel 83 (Face TV), airing Thursdays at 8.30pm, with two additional repeats during the week as well as on-demand viewing via both the Tarmac Life and Channel 83 YouTube channels.
"We are incredibly excited to bring Tarmac Life to a whole new audience,” said Dave McLeod.
"For years, we’ve built a community online, and now we get to bring that same energy, expertise, and a bit of cheekiness to television. We’re creating a show for Kiwis, by Kiwis, that celebrates our unique car culture and love for adventure."
The Tarmac Life TV Show will join a curated lineup of programming on Channel 83 that includes international shows like Motorweek from the USA and Australia's Classic Restos. The first episode is scheduled to screen on the 24th of July, at 8.30pm on Sky Channel 83.
