Russian daredevils replaced a Bentley's wheels for huge tracks, creating a formidable machine they call the 'Ultratank'.
In a video titled 'Bentley Ultratank: The Beginning', tinkerers from the YouTube channel AcademeG mounted the Continental in their workshop before removing the vehicle's wheels for enormous treads.
The video, uploaded on December 16 last year, was the beginning of the 'Ultratank project', and the vehicle can now be seen speeding across eastern European dirt roads, elevated several feet by the formidable side-mounted tracks.
Speaking in a video uploaded to their channel on May 9, the presenter of AcademeG, which has 3.5million subscribers, declares that they have 'accomplished success' with a crucial part of the project.
'All we really need to understand right now from this test drive is whether or not this build is viable,' he says.
'We already encountered some issues with the engine because it's still not tuned since the previous video with the Bentley.
'It's choking up at the low rpm range, so you instantly need to rev it up, and this type of tech lives in the low range.
'So this rpm range isn't compatible, so we will have to solve this a bit later, but today the scope is to verify the chassis.
'For now we'll just figure something out with the engine just using the gas pedal or somehow make do.
'It's important to us that today something gets busted off so that we can understand where its weak spots are.
'Because right now it's not going in any forest or anywhere, its job right now is to make these first little tiny steps for the Ultratank project and giant leaps for the whole AcademeG channel.'
Once the presenter climbs inside the vehicle, he says that touching the brake pedal is 'pointless, since at the moment we don't have brakes'.
He adds that they will be added later, but for now he will have to use the steering wheel to slow the vehicle down.
As he accelerates up the dirt road in the test drive, the Russian presenter says 'she drives, she drives! Your mother!' later adding: 'Burying everything in dust, but she drives.'
Upon trying to make a left turn, the tracks fall off the vehicle - which the driver attributes to a possible lack of tension.
'Right now we have to adjust it and figure out how much tension there needs to be on the tracks in kilograms, and then everything will be in complete order,' the driver says.
He concludes the video by saying that 'everthing is simply ideal', despite the earlier problems.
The presenter says that the tracks did not suit their needs, as the middle section which keeps it coming off the rollers and prevents shifting left and right is 'a little short'.
