Did you buy this car new or used?

New

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

$70,000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I wanted an SUV as they are easier to get in and out of than a sedan. I wanted a third row of seat to take the grandchildren when I needed to. I wanted a comfortable vehicle that still had reasonable performance and good handling. I wanted it to be slightly smaller than the large SUV that I had had previously so it was easier to park. And it had to fit the budget stipulated by my boss. I wanted a Skoda because I had had one in the past, and it was brilliant on the open road. I wanted a vehicle that got on with it without having to rev its head off to get anywhere.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

I loved it from the very start. Everything that I had experienced about the previous Skoda that I had had was still true. The controls were light and easy, but not too light. Everything was in exactly the right place. The did what was required of it without any fuss, and it had cool little things in it like a drivers umbrella, pull forward side on the headrests in the middle row for sleeping, and much more.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

I am always finding out further features about it. You can choose what sort of ride you want, you can turn off the auto off feature on the motor if you don't want it, you can set the park brake to come on automatically as soon as you turn the motor off, and much more. The sound system is the best.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I've already said what I like about it. One improvement would be better vetilation in the back of the car. Also it would be nice if the auto off feature didn't have to be turned off every time you started the motor.

Any other comments on the car?

The other thing I would like to say about it is the service that comes with it. I have had fords and Toyotas and there service is nowhere near what Skoda offer.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

Skoda have really nailed it for driving experience, reliability, and great service. And the vehicle cost quite a bit less than equivalent Kia and Hyundai models.
