Aston Martin and Brough Superior are taking their motorcycle partnership onto public roads with the AMB 002 Roadster, an all-new machine aimed at riders as well as collectors.
It follows the track-only AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro introduced in 2019 and 2022 respectively, but this time road legality is central to the brief. Orders are open, with the first customer deliveries scheduled for Q3 2027.
Road manners, bespoke hardware
Power comes from a new 1083cc four-stroke, water-cooled V-twin producing 130bhp and 110Nm.
Brough Superior says it has tuned the engine for strong low- and mid-range torque, with a smooth top end intended to make the bike engaging in everyday road use.
That engine sits beneath a titanium backbone frame milled from a solid billet.
The frame weighs just 5kg and contributes to a claimed 50:50 weight distribution. With carbon fibre used for the fuel tank and body panels, the complete motorcycle weighs a stated 190kg.
At the front, Brough Superior's double-wishbone Fior fork separates steering and braking forces, helping maintain the front-end geometry while reducing dive under braking. The companies say the arrangement is intended to combine accurate steering with stability through faster corners.
Aston details without 4 wheels
Aston Martin's design team has given the AMB 002 several recognisable cues without turning it into a rolling badge exercise. A reworked side strake cuts through the fairing and wraps towards the headlamp, while twin oval exhausts use ribbed heat sinks inspired by current Aston Martin road cars.
At the rear, slim light blades reference the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla. The compact carbon-fibre bodywork, crescent-shaped cooling gills and low-set mirrors reinforce the bike's forward-leaning stance.
A tightly controlled production run
Only 300 AMB 002 Roadsters will be individually built. Aston Martin and Brough Superior have not disclosed pricing, a New Zealand allocation or local road-registration timing.
The AMB 002 therefore moves the partnership beyond its circuit-only predecessors, although local availability remains unknown.
